Another project for my Text course in my Creative Technology & Design program, an introduction to graphic design, we were asked to design a typographic folding accordion booklet. The instructions were to create an expressive type representation of a poem or song lyric. We could only use one spot color and limited imagery (essentially only type).

I picked the rock song “R U Mine” by the Arctic Monkeys. From a young age, I had always found the first couple of lines in the song to be very notable and heavily visual. I stuck with only black and white to create my foldable booklet, designing each page with the inspiration of the original Arctic Monkeys album art, very dark and rock-grunge in style.
